Spring (nail polish) fever

If there is one beauty ritual I loathe doing at home, it’s a manicure. I have plenty of polishes and all the tools like orange sticks and nail files, but I’m going to be honest: cuticle clippers scare the shit out of me. As a result, you would think I’d be a nail salon regular, but who has the time for that weekly routine? And who wants to waste that money? I can think of 100 things I’d rather put that money towards! So I’ve been operating on this little stealth routine I thought I’d share:

1.) The first Monday of each month, I book a basic manicure so all that cuticle pushing and trimming is taken care of by a professional
2.) Then I just re-polish weekly with whatever I like, taking care to use a rich hand cream, body butter or cuticle oil each night before bed
Since I’m prone to chipping my salon-manicured nails, I’ve realized the cost benefit of just buying my polishes. It makes touch-ups a breeze and I really love regularly wearing just a few signature colors each season.

Plus, don’t they ljust ook so pretty when displayed in a floating acrylic tray?
